Star Land Hotel Bastos - Yaounde

The location is fantastic, surrounded by embassies . The room was immaculate, and I particularly enjoyed the modern amenities throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, and the staff was attentive.

The noise from nearby events could be a bit distracting at night.

Really great overall experience. Fairly clean property, really accommodating stuff. Great location in the middle of the city. Plus, 20 minutes drive from Bedfont Lake. Exceptionally comfortable bed in double room with a safe, a minibar, and an iron. The pool area is nice too. Not to mention free wifi

The stay was enjoyable, especially given the comfortable King Room we had. I loved the clean and modern ambiance of the place, and the great breakfast spread was a nice touch, even if it was often the same. Easy access to some local attractions, like the National Museum and the Municipal Lake. It was a pleasant short trip, and I appreciated the reliable WiFi for a bit of work I had to do.

The hotel has some issues worth noting. Check-in procedures were frustrating, particularly with early arrivals needing to pay extra for the night before. Cleanliness was hit or miss, with hairs found on the bedsheets and floors, suggesting a lack of attention to detail. While the floor not being carpeted is fine, it did contribute to an overall less inviting atmosphere.

Good Swimming Pool & Cafe

I stayed in a King Room for one night, and it was super clean and modern, really comfy! The hotel has nice amenities, and the breakfast spread was great, even though it got a bit repetitive. The wifi was strong,. The only annoying part was the noise from nearby events that lingered a bit into the night. I felt relaxed .

Stayed for four nights and had a wonderful experience with incredibly friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.

Solo traveler who expects more

When I arrived, the coffee during breakfast was surprisingly good , better than the usual hotel stuff. The omelet bar was a nice touch.

It wasn't exactly a bargain , but still acceptable with the amenities provided.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was equipped with cable channels, a sitting area, and ironing facilities.

This newly opened hotel offers a pleasant experience, with helpful and friendly staff making every effort to assist, making my stay enjoyable.
